FAQ
What do I do when my loved one is arrested?
When your friend or loved one is arrested on a warrant or new charge, you will have to wait until they are taken into jail and booked before they can be bonded. However as soon as they are arrested you can contact Bail House Bail Bonds at 720-799-5133 and we can start working on getting the process started.
How much is this going to cost?
Cost is based on the total liability of the bond. The charge will typically be between 10-15% of that liability, plus applicable fees associated with that jurisdiction. Each county and municipality in the state of Colorado charges different bond and booking fees. You can call Bail House Bail Bonds at 720-799-5133 anytime to discuss cost and fees. The minimum cost is $50 and the maximum Colorado allows us to charge is 15% of the total liability plus the jail related bond fee.
What are the requirements to be a Cosigner on a bond for my friend?
Those requirements vary case by case. In any case, it is required that you have a regular income as well as a "permanent" residence. This doesn't mean you need to make $75,000 a year and own your home. On bonds larger than $10,000 collateral is often used to help guarentee the liability of the bond. In ANY case you can always contact Bail House Bail Bonds at 720-799-5133 to make sure you can qualify to post bond on your friend!
What happens if the person I cosigned for misses court?
This is always case by case. If the defendant misses court because they had a date or time wrong, it is often easy for the bondsman to help out by offering a consent of surety to the defendant that they can take to the judge to have a bond reinstated. In an instance when a person may be on the run, its possible that you as the cosigner can be held financially responsible for the full liability of the bond in question. For further information on this, call Bail House Bail Bonds at 720-799-5133.
